NO-BAKE CHOCOLATE OATMEAL BARS WITH PEANUT BUTTER

NECESSARY TOOLS

  • 1 baking pan, approx. 8×8 inches

INGREDIENTS

  • 5.5 oz chocolate (about 1 standard chocolate bar)
  • 1 cup plus 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups rolled oats

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Chop the chocolate coarsely and melt it together with the peanut butter in a double boiler.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan and stir in the sugar and vanilla sugar until they dissolve completely.
  3. Fold the oats into the butter-sugar mixture and leave on the stove for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Line the baking pan with parchment paper and spread half of the oat mixture in it. Smooth it down and press gently.
  5. Spread the chocolate-peanut mixture evenly over the oat mix, then spread the remaining oats on top. Press down one more time.
  6. Refrigerate the baking pan for 2-3 hours or overnight. Finally, cut into bars & enjoy!
