Our Puff Pastry Pudding Sticks Recipe

Puff pastry is made by repeatedly rolling and folding a basic dough of flour, salt, and water, to create a multi-layered dough. This method means that once the dough starts baking it will become light and flaky. And because the dough is baked without sugar, the pastry is suitable for both savory and sweet creations alike. Today, of course, we are leaning sweet with our puff pastry pudding sticks.

Making these sticks is wonderfully easy. Begin by making your choice of instant pudding mix, we opted for vanilla. Once its ready, roll out the puff pastry and generously spread the chilled pudding on it. Next, place the second puff pastry sheet on top of the pudding. Then seal it, making sure that no pudding spills over the edge. Cut the sheet into twenty sticks and then brush them with whisked egg. For a bit of schoolyard charm, sprinkle them with cinnamon sugar before popping them into the oven. Before you know it, your kitchen will be filled with all the wonderful aromas of cinnamon and pudding alike.

Whether as a sweet surprise for guests, an afternoon snack, or simply a sweet moment just for yourself, our puff pastry pudding sticks are a real treat. So grab your puff pastry and pudding mix: Let’s make something great together!

  • 2 tbsp cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (convection) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
